Cool for Keller, gets to play in the rink he grew up watching hockey against his childhood favorite team in his first game, and then again against the Blues in his new home rink.

As long as the Blues score more than the Yotes I don't care what Keller does, lol.

Yeah we had to play Chicago and Minnesota more than you did. Sure we got lucky. I guess all 3 goals on Sarurday that the Flames scored were all clean and went straight into the net from Flames sticks.

Not whining at all. Just not saying that any team has a lucky schedule.

7 games to go

hopefully the blues can avoid Chicago I am not as confident facing them as some of you other guys.

I think the best bet would be to finish in WC1 and face the Pacific

Going to be a tough road no matter what

I feel good about facing anyone in the playoffs.

We can hang with Chicago, and anyone else in the West. Having a healthy lineup is the most important, so facing them again in the first round might be best.

Carcus,

Is it me or is it easy to tell if Allen is going to have a good game. When his movement is compact and tight, he usually plays well. When he gets overly flashing and moving a ton, usually not as much.

He was compact and efficient with movement last night and I thought very strong last night.

If we get Stastny back in time, I don't see the Hawks being any worse a matchup than anyone else in the West. We haven't played Nashville in a while though. Sunday's game could be an indication of what the competition will be like.

Yakupov is playing a lot better and producing.

Another solid game. I actually like this team better than last year's version.

?.???

You could say we played harder teams more often earlier in the year and now that it our turn to play the soft ones it removes the padding built up by other teams who already played those games, or did I miss something and we play half the schedule only against the Avs and Yotes?

This is as dumb of a narrative as losing three players changes the entire team. If Backes was as good as a Crosby or McDavid that might be an argument. That makes the argument about Brouwer even less paplable, because removing him from the line up actually improves this team and would improve most teams. He had a great end to last year minus the Sharks' series where in fact his bad penalties, defensive play and inability to finish hurt the team.

I agree.

He is positioning himself better and most importantly he is getting better lanes to see the puck. When he struggles tracking he is lost and other parts of his game fall apart.

Yeah, you can tell when he is going to have a good game. Lately, it has been pretty much every game.

Love the way he is playing. I wonder if whatever Corsi was telling him was like a huge weight on his shoulders, and it has been removed and he is now playing up to his ability. Whatever Marty changed, it is working wonderfully.

Do you think it could have just been Corsi talked too much? Maybe Jake just needs to play and only be coached up a bit

IDK

I was never a goalie, I was too smart for that position

There's also an interesting dynamic when you switch coaches where you're still doing a lot of the things the old coach preached but your focus is on the new coach.

Like when you switch a very defensive minded coach for an offensive one. The team will still naturally play defensively, while intentionally trying to play offensively.
